Headline writers get what they want: drunk teenagers having sex

Another glass-half-empty story from down under:

http://www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/schoolies-get-what-they-want-booze-and-risky-sex-20111112-1nd2c.html

“…most do so because they think it’s the social norm…
in a sign that the public health messages are missing their target, 24 per cent of the boys and 13 per cent of girls who had sex did not use protection.”

So, 76% of boys and 87% of girls who had sex used contraception… Elsewhere I see just 4% of the girls has sex with multiple partners.

Of course there are health concerns here, but the impression I got was responsible behaviour by the considerable majority. Most of them are getting the public health messages.
